Be yourself.
That’s more than enough.

As You Are is an invitation for all of us to understand — and counter— the expectations that shape body image, appearance pressures, and how we see ourselves and each other.

A customizable program based in science, guided by community, focused on body confidence and leadership.

From their preteen years through early adulthood, young people are discovering who they are — often while navigating powerful cultural messages about body image, appearance, and worth. These years can shape how they see themselves and how they show up in the world.

As You Are is a program that helps young people step back from those pressures with curiosity. It teaches skills to support wellness and create a world that values people for who they are and what they do — not what they look like.

We are not the same. And that is beautiful.

Formerly known as mind.body.voice., As You Are was created through more than a decade of collaborative research with a focus on young women and girls. Our team brought together young people, psychological and learning scientists, teachers and counselors, and contemplative practice experts to co-create a program that reflects both lived experience and well-established science.

Because As You Are was built through this iterative, participatory process, the program is flexible and adaptable — ready to meet the needs of a broad range of communities and contexts.
