inside out characters

Getting to know emotions — inside and out.

InsideU is an online app inspired by the themes and characters of Disney/Pixar’s film Inside Out. Based on a collaboration between Pixar Animation Studios and the Crown Institute, InsideU has won awards and already reached over 14,000 users. With a flexible delivery format, InsideU can be used in-person or virtually across a diverse range of settings including in schools, after-school programs, and at home.

Building a community that provides enduring support.

Researched and co-designed with young women and backed by science, As You Are brings young people together with peer and near-peer mentors to understand — and transform — body dissatisfaction. Implemented throughout Colorado’s Front Range region, the Crown Institute can provide curriculum and training support to youth-serving organizations, including material designed for culturally specific groups.

From one mom to another: a scalable solution for healthier families.

Alma is a research-based, peer-to-peer mentoring program that has been successfully expanded across Colorado. The Crown Institute is supporting further expansion through train-the-trainer workshops for moms interested in becoming Alma peer mentors, training and consultative partnerships with organizations seeking to adopt the approach, and an online hub for easy digital access to all Alma resources.

El Crown Institute está apoyando su crecimiento mediante capacitación, a través de redes de apoyo con organizaciones interesadas en adoptar Alma, talleres para mamás que desean convertirse en Compañeras de Apoyo Alma, y un centro digital en línea que permite acceder fácilmente a todos los recursos de Alma.

Working towards better maternal mental health — a digital mindfulness program for moms.

MMB for Moms was thoughtfully designed, tested, and refined in partnership with mothers, providers, and national mental health experts — including University of Toronto, Emory University, Massachusetts General Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, and Everyday Health. By equipping moms with practical skills and compassionate guidance, MMB helps nurture the well-being of both mother and child, laying the groundwork for lifelong wellness.
