Tracy Hawry is the Director of Finance and Business Development at the Renée Crown Wellness Institute. She brings over two decades of experience leading strategic and financial operations for large-scale public health programs and research initiatives aimed at reducing barriers to care for underserved communities. Prior to joining the Crown Institute in 2025, Tracy served for a decade as a Health Development Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). In that role, she built strategic partnerships with host governments, community advocacy groups, international donors, the private sector, and other key stakeholders, while managing multi-million-dollar health portfolios in the Philippines, Myanmar, and Mozambique. From 2001 to 2015, Tracy worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Central America Regional Office, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), and several non-governmental organizations. She oversaw national and multi-country health programs and research in Central America, the eastern Caribbean, Ethiopia, and Zambia. Tracy earned her Master of Public Health with a certificate in Health Economics from Johns Hopkins University as a Sommer Scholar, and holds a BA in International Affairs from the George Washington University. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently, and hopes to “dust off” her French after many years living in non-Francophone countries.
After 22 years overseas, Tracy and her family are excited to be back in the U.S. She enjoys spicy food, roller coasters, dancing, board games, and exploring Colorado’s beautiful mountain trails with her husband and two teenagers.
