
Rebecca L. Pearl, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Renée Crown Wellness Institute and in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research investigates appearance and health-related stigma and associated health outcomes, with a primary focus on developing interventions to reduce weight stigma and its internalization. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the American Psychological Association Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology and the National Institutes of Health Director’s New Innovator Award. She completed her PhD in clinical psychology at Yale University, her pre-doctoral psychology internship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Weight and Eating Disorders.
